I am studying the book of James. I am drawn to this book, because of it's theme of, if we bare the name of Christ then we should have a life and manifested fruit that reflects Christ. When I don't know what to study I start to pray and seek God, then He normally gives me a single word like "grace" and then I start to study scriptures on what he spoke. Through that I land in the book He wanted and I study and meditate until I have learned what He wanted me to absorb.

There's a difference in what scriptures I study for devotion and the scriptures I study to preach with. That determines what I'm reading.
