The West Wind

The West Wind
The West Wind

In a vision, the Lord revealed to me the movement of the west wind sweeping across nations. I found myself standing in the middle of a very narrow road. To my right was a black SUV, and before me stood several buildings. As I observed my surroundings, a group of people began approaching me. Though I couldn’t hear their words, I discerned their intent, they wanted me to move my car, as though it were blocking their way and creating inconvenience.

Yet, as I studied the road more carefully, I realized they had more than enough room to pass by. My car wasn’t a true obstacle. Squinting to catch the movement of their lips, it seemed they were actually complaining about the narrowness of the road itself, rather than my presence.

In that moment, I turned my gaze westward and saw a building marked with the name “Bon Secours.” While I recognized the phrase as commonly tied to healthcare, the Holy Spirit immediately reminded me of its meaning in French: “good help.” The structure I saw didn’t resemble a hospital at all—it looked more like the World Trade Center, tall and commanding. As I marveled at the sight, a strong wind suddenly rushed from the east, forcefully directing my attention toward this building. Then, I awoke.

The Holy Spirit showed me the movement of the west wind, the wind that settles the dust. For the last few months, the east wind was released to uproot the bondages that have held the pioneers believers bound in cycles of torment.

It was the east wind that divided the Red Sea, creating a path of deliverance for Israel and a graveyard for Pharaoh’s army (Exodus 14:21).

It was the east wind that brought locusts over Egypt, stripping what was false and shaking what was built in pride (Exodus 10:13).

It was the east wind that withered Jonah’s comfort, confronting his heart and calling him back to divine perspective (Jonah 4:8).

The east wind that created conflict, but it was the Lord’s doing. The effects of the east wind have now settled, and we have settled into a undiscovered dimension in this new era. There are new depths and new heights that have yet to be experienced, and the west wind will usher us into it. Now, that the west wind is blowing, you can be assured that what plagued you is being swept away by the power of the Holy Spirit. What left you destitute is now being restored. The Lord says, “I am sending the rain of My mercy, not to visit you but to dwell among you”.

In the ancient Near East, the west wind often blew in from the Mediterranean Sea, bringing rain and refreshing moisture to arid lands. For Israel, the west wind was not just weather anomaly, it brought forth provision, life, and renewal. In Exodus 10:19, the west wind carried away the locusts after the devastating plague, sweeping judgment aside and restoring the land. In 1 Kings 18:43–45, after the fire fell on Mount Carmel, the west wind carried rain that ended three years of drought in Samaria.

This west wind represents God’s mercy that follows judgment. It’s a confirmation that after the locusts are gone, after the fire has fallen, after the strongholds have been broken, the Lord will send rain. He does not leave His people in desolation; He delivers and he refreshes our souls.

Declarations for the West Wind

  1. I declare that the west wind of the Lord is blowing across my life, sweeping away every plague, hindrance, and obstacle, just as it carried away the locusts in Egypt (Exodus 10:19).

  2. I decree that the west wind will usher in God’s refreshing rain, bringing an end to every drought, spiritual, financial, emotional, and relational—in my life (1 Kings 18:45).

  3. I declare that the mercy of God is riding on the west wind, overturning judgments, breaking chains, and filling every empty place with His abundance.

  4. I decree that the west wind is moving in my favor, reversing demonic assignments, and removing every spirit of oppression that has tried to settle in my land.

  5. I declare that the west wind is blowing restoration into my household, my ministry, and my destiny. What was once barren shall now flourish.

  6. I decree that the west wind is sweeping across nations, carrying the sound of revival, awakening the Church, and drawing souls into the kingdom from the north, south, east, and west.

  7. I declare that the west wind is a wind of healing and mercy, every wound, every scar, every broken place is being restored by the Spirit of God.

  8. I decree that the west wind is aligning me with Bon Secours—the “good help” of God. Divine assistance is being released to me from heaven and through people on the earth.

  9. I declare that the west wind is blowing away the voice of the accuser and silencing every complaint against me, making room for the vindication of the Lord.

  10. I decree that the west wind will not pass me by. I will stand in the flow of God’s mercy and receive the rain of His goodness in this season.
